You bet! Its the reason why my personal list is 700 and climbing… even though I’m a “slow” intentional networker 🚀

While the NFC Wristband can be great for other things this is the primary use case for the wristband and what makes ours different than other brands.

That’s right. 💯

Review this section again.

Splendid 🤩

Rewatch this section closely.

You’re ready to rock and roll 🎸

This one can be a little tricky. Rewatch it one more time.

Lesson: How to Use and Program Your Chatavise NFC Wristband

Welcome to this lesson! In this walkthrough, I’ll explain the benefits of using a Chatavise NFC wristband, and guide you step-by-step on how to program both the NFC chip and the backup QR code. Let’s dive in.

Why Use a Chatavise NFC Wristband?

The Chatavise NFC wristband is a powerful tool for growing your text message subscriber list in real-life interactions. It enables quick and seamless contact sharing with just a tap or scan.

How to Wear and Use the Wristband

  1. Put the Wristband On Secure the wristband around your wrist with the QR code facing inward (toward you). Use the pin to fasten it by inserting it into one of the available slots.
  2. Using the NFC Feature When you’re networking and ready to share your number:
    • Hold the wristband up to the other person’s phone.
    • Keep in mind:
      • iPhone NFC receivers are near the top of the device.
      • Most Androids have theirs near the center back.
    • When aligned correctly, a push notification will appear on their screen. Tapping it opens their text message app.
  3. What They See
    • Your phone number appears in the “To” field.
    • The keyword is pre-filled in the message field.
    • They simply press Send.

Within 30 seconds to 3 minutes, you’ll receive their text—and they’ll get an automated text from you. Congratulations! You’ve just added a new subscriber and captured their number.

What Happens Next

What they receive depends on the keyword you sent. This could include:

  • A digital business card
  • A calendar link
  • A photo

Example:

I personally use a keyword that sends my business card image (with my photo and name), a link to my networking calendar, and a link to my Chatavise business card.

Here’s what’s on my digital card:

  • Personal social media links
  • Networking and demo call calendars
  • My website
  • Other key links I want to share when connecting with new people

Using the Backup QR Code

If someone’s phone doesn’t support NFC, they can still connect using the backup QR code:

  • Open the camera app
  • Scan the QR code on your wristband
  • Tap the link
  • Their text app will open with the keyword already filled in—just like with the NFC tap

How to Program the NFC Chip and QR Code

Before starting, make sure:

  • You’ve installed the latest Chatavise mobile app
  • You have your wristband ready

Step-by-Step: Programming the NFC Chip

  1. Open the Chatavise app
  2. Tap the menu (top left)
  3. Scroll to the Marketing section and select QR Codes
  4. Choose your desired keyword
  5. Tap the NFC icon next to it
  6. Tap Pair Device
  7. Hold your wristband next to your phone → You’ll get a confirmation that the NFC chip has been successfully programmed

Step-by-Step: Programming the QR Code

  1. In the same QR Code section, tap the blue plus sign (bottom right)
  2. Label your QR code (e.g., “Zoom with Ron Wristband”)
  3. In the field that appears, type: nfc-wristband-
  4. Look at your wristband and locate the serial number (e.g., 001). Add that to the text. It should now look something like this nfc-wristband-001
  5. If you have multiple inboxes, select the appropriate one. Most users will have just one.
  6. Choose the keyword you want to sync the QR code with
  7. Press Save

Once saved, you’ll return to the QR Code screen, where you’ll now see:

  • The QR code name
  • Its location
  • The custom slug you created

Testing the QR Code

  1. Open your camera app
  2. Hover over the QR code on the wristband
  3. Tap the link that pops up
  4. Tap Open → The keyword will appear in the message field, ready for them to hit Send

Wrapping Up

And that’s it! You’ve now fully programmed both the NFC chip and the QR code on your Chatavise wristband. You’re ready to network efficiently and grow your audience wherever you go.

See you in the next lesson!

In this lesson, I will explain the benefits of having a Chatavise NFC wristband, and we’ll walk through how to program the NFC chip as well as the backup QR code. So let’s get started.

Chatavise’s NFC wristband is a great tool for building up your text message subscriber list quickly in the real world. The way it works is: we want to put the wristband around our wrist like so, with the QR code on the inside part of our wrist, facing us. Then we want to take the pin and insert it into one of these slots. This will secure the wristband like so. Now, when you’re ready to share your phone number with the new contact that you’re networking with, you can hold up the wristband to their phone. Keep in mind that the NFC receiver is located in slightly different areas depending on the type of phone they have. For iPhones, it’s located in this area here at the top. For most Androids, it’s located in the middle. You’ll know that you’ve found the right spot when a push notification appears on their phone like this here. When they click on it, Chatavise will ask to open up their text message app. When you press “Open,” you will see your phone number on their phone in the “To” field. You will also see the keyword in their text message field. All they have to do is press send. Now, within 30 seconds to 3 minutes, they will receive a text from you—and before that, you’ll receive a text from them. And just like that, you’ve already gained a new text subscriber and gotten their phone number.

Now, depending on what is behind that keyword that you sent them, you’re going to be able to send them a link to a business card, a link to your calendar, a picture of some kind. I’m going to show you a little example of mine that I use for networking. Here we can see I sent them a picture of what would be my physical business card. I have a picture there and my name, so they can associate it with the new phone number in their phone. I also have a link to my networking calendar, and then I have a link to the business card that you can create in Chatavise. I’ll show you what that looks like here as well. You can see I have my personal social media links at the top. I have my networking calendar, my video demo call calendar, as well as my website and other important links that I want to get in front of people that I’m networking with.

Now, not every phone has an NFC receiver. In those situations, that’s where the backup QR code really comes in handy. When they have their phone and they click on their camera app, all they have to do is scan the QR code like so, click on the link, and it will open up their text message app with the keyword in the text message field—just like if they were tapping on the NFC chip.

To complete this walkthrough, make sure that you have the latest version of the Chatavise mobile app already installed on your phone and your wristband right next to you. The first step is to click on the Chatavise mobile app and click on the menu button at the top left. Then scroll down to the Marketing section and click on QR Codes. Here, choose the keyword that you want to work with, then click on the NFC button right next to it. Now click on “Pair Device,” hold up your Chatavise NFC wristband next to your phone like so, and we can see that the NFC chip has been successfully programmed.

Now, to program the QR code that is on the wristband, we’re going to look at the bottom right and click on the blue plus sign. Here, we can label that QR code. I’m going to call it Zoom with Ron Wristband. Now, the most important part of this whole process for that QR code is to follow along and put the exact things that I write in this field here. We’re going to type in:

nfc-wristband-

Now, I want you to look at the QR code that’s on your wristband closely and find the serial number that is printed on there. Mine is 001, so type in yours like I have here on the screen. Now, most people are only going to have one inbox, so there’s nothing to do there. But if you have multiple inboxes, choose the appropriate one. The last step is to choose the keyword that we want to sync this QR code to, like so. Now press “Save,” and when you do that, you’ll be taken to this screen again, and you’ll find a QR code that has the name, the location, and then the custom slug that we had below it. Just like that, you have now programmed that QR code that’s on your wristband. To test it, click on your camera like so, put it over the QR code, click on the link, hit “Open,” and there’s the keyword in the text message field—ready for that person to simply press “Send.”

I’ll see you in the next lesson.
