See you in the next lesson!

In this lesson, we are going to walk through creating a digital business card, editing it on the fly, and reviewing some of the basic analytics that the Chatavise native business card has to offer. We’re going to do all of this on the mobile app, so let’s get started.

I want to start off by saying that if you want your digital business card to look like mine, it’s going to be easier to do this on a laptop, in my opinion, because you’ll have access to tools like Adobe products, Pixelmator, and Canva. Usually, making graphics is easier on a bigger screen. Also, we went much more in depth on digital business cards in general in the free Fast Start Web App course than we will here. Nevertheless, we made it extremely easy to create your digital business card from scratch in the Chatavise mobile app.

So to start, let’s go to the top left of the screen and click on the menu button. Let’s scroll down to the marketing section and click on business cards. At the bottom right, let’s click the blue plus sign. Here it’s mandatory to add a headshot to create your business card. You can do that by clicking on the edit button and using the camera or gallery option to upload your headshot. Then write your name in the name field, a brief description or job title, then add the phone number. You should probably put your Chatavise business phone line, but you can put your personal number there if you want. But whatever phone number you put here, make sure it’s the phone number that you want that new contact to save on their phone. The last thing to do is create a custom slug. Mine has my first name-last name after the forward slash. And just like that, you created your Chatavise business card.

To edit and customize your business card, click on the edit button of the business card you want to work with. Now click on the edit button at the bottom of the screen. Here you can edit your headshot by clicking on it and using the camera or gallery icon to update the headshot. You can update the splash image by clicking on the edit button at the top right. Here you can use the same options below.

In the detail section, you can edit the name, description, and phone number by clicking on the edit button here. And if you make any changes, press save.

You can add or edit your social media links by clicking on the edit button here and adding the appropriate URLs in the right social media spots. If you make any adjustments, press update.

You can edit the custom links that appear on the business card by clicking on this edit button here. You can create one from scratch by pressing on the blue plus sign. You can label it, copy and paste the URL into this field here, and then you can choose the color of that button by using the options here. Once you press update, you’ll see the hex code appear, and you can use that hex code to make sure that all the custom links that you make have the same shade of whatever color it is that you chose. If you know the hex code from the beginning, you can simply type it in. Once you’re done with that, make sure you press save. In this screen here, you can update the order by holding it down and moving it in the appropriate spot that you would like. I’m going to move it back to match the way I want it to, just like so. You can edit the link itself by pressing on the edit button here and updating the label, updating the URL, and you can change the color as well. Again, if you make any changes here, press save. Over here, you can use the red trash can button to make that link inactive, and it’ll appear here at the bottom. To restore it, simply press on that restore button, and it will put it back into the active link section. The last thing I want to mention is about the splash image. This is similar to Facebook’s cover image. The exact dimensions for Chatavise is 1,728 pixels wide and 640 pixels in height. Now you know how to edit Chatavise’s digital business card on the go.

To see analytics on your digital business card, let’s go to the bottom of the screen and click on analytics. Here we can update the date range for the information.

I’m choosing April 1st through May 11th, then press apply. Here we can see that the business card was sent out 30 times, it has a click rate of 50%, and total clicks of 36. We can see which social media sites had the most clicks as well as information on how many clicks each custom link got. If you go to the far right on the bottom and click on clicks, Chatavise will tell you which contact clicked on your business card and when they did it. We can tell you this information when the business card is sent via one-on-one texting, campaigns, or if the business card link is embedded in a workflow. The only time we can’t tell you when or who someone clicked on that link is when you’re using the base link of your business card like I’m using here on my Instagram account.

So with that said, you now know how to manage your digital business card. You know how to create it, edit it, and even view analytics. I’ll see you in the next lesson.
