✍️ Chatavise Lesson: Creating & Managing Templates in the Mobile App
In this quick lesson, you’ll learn how to create, edit, and favorite message templates using the Chatavise mobile app. Let’s jump right in!
🆕 Creating a New Template
- Open the Chatavise app
- Tap the menu icon (top-left)
- Scroll to the Marketing section and tap Templates
- Tap the blue plus (+) icon in the bottom-right
On the Create Template Screen:
- Name the template
- Write your message
- Tap the { } variable icon to insert message variables
- Use Ask Kelly to help generate optimized text
- (Optional) Add an image
- Tap the image icon to upload from your camera or gallery
- To dismiss the keyboard, tap the name field and press Done
Visibility Settings:
Choose whether to:
- Make the template globally available to all inboxes/locations
- Assign it to specific locations or inboxes
✅ Once done, tap Save—your template is now created!
đź› Editing an Existing Template
- From the Templates list, scroll to find the one you want to edit
- Tap the Edit icon
- Here, you can:
- Update the template name
- Modify the message content
- Attach/remove an image
- See whether it’s globally available
🔙 Tap the Back button when you’re finished making changes.
📌 Favoriting a Template for Quick Access
- On the template list, tap the pin icon next to any template
- This marks it as a favorite, making it easy to find later
Using a Template in a Chat:
- Open a 1:1 chat
- Tap the dropdown arrow above the message box
- Tap Use Template
- Choose your template and tap Send
🚀 Just like that, your favorite template is in action—fast and efficient.

In this lesson, we are going to cover how to create and edit templates. This is going to be a fast one, so let’s get started.
To create a template, let’s go to the menu button, scroll down to the marketing section, and click on templates. To create a template from scratch, press the blue plus sign. On this screen, we can name the template. We can create the message for the template. We can use this button here to pull up the message variable menu. We can use Ask Kelly to help us generate the perfect text message for this template. We can also, if we go down to the bottom, choose if we want to add an image for this template. We can use the camera or the gallery to do so. To make the keyboard go away, simply click on the name field and press Done.
Now, you can choose to make this template available to all the inboxes or locations on your Chatavise account, or you can make it available only to specific locations or inboxes. Once all that is created, press the Save button and your template will be created. You’ll be brought to this screen here. If you want to edit that template, simply scroll down until you find it. I’m going to use this template right here. I’m going to press on the edit button and I can see the name of the template, I can see the message that I created, I can see that it’s a globally available template, and I have no images attached, which for this purpose is fine. I’m going to hit the back button here.
If I want to make this template a favorite template, which makes it easy to access, I’m going to press this pin button here. And now this template has been favorited. So when I go to chats and I want to easily access that template, I can access it in one-on-one text messages very quickly.
By hitting this dropdown, I can click Use Template and access it right there and then press Send. Just like that, you learned how to use templates in the Chatavise mobile app. You know how to create it, edit it, and make it a favorite—all on the phone.
