Beautiful! You are that much closer to sharing your business with the world. 🌎

Take a moment to create one. You can skip adding ALL the links for now.

That’s what I like to see superstar 🌟

Take a few additional seconds to add just 1 custom link to your business card.

In this lesson, we’re going to walk through setting up Chatavise’s native digital business card.

Digital business cards are a great way to share important links with your contacts in an organized way. Some of our clients have their team members create individual cards, while others prefer to use a single company-wide card. I’m going to show you both.

Here’s my individual business card,

And here’s my company business card.

As you can see, I use my individual one much more, but both types come in handy—especially when networking, attending expos, vendor shows, or similar events. They’re a great way to share your calendar, social media links, sign-up forms, and any other important content you want people to have easy access to.

You can even leverage digital business cards in automated workflows—but we’ll leave that for another lesson.

How to Create a Digital Business Card:

  1. Go to the top of the page and click on Marketing → then click on Business Cards.
  2. At the top right, click Add Business Card to start from scratch.
  3. The first field is the Name:
    • Enter the company name for a company card, or your personal name for an individual one.
  4. In the Description field:
    • You can enter your job title (e.g., CEO, CMO, Founder), or a short personal blurb, similar to how I wrote mine in my example.
  5. Next, you’ll see a Phone Number field:
    • Enter the number you want people to save in their contacts. In most cases, this should be your Chatavise phone number.
    • If you have multiple team members needing their own numbers, you can purchase additional numbers directly in your Chatavise account. This is usually more cost-effective than getting extra lines from a phone carrier.
  6. Next is the Website URL — paste in your company’s website.
  7. Skip the calendar section for now—we’ll add that in a different spot.
  8. Paste in your social media links for:
    • Facebook
    • Google
    • YouTube
    • LinkedIn
    • Instagram
    • X (formerly Twitter) (More platforms will be added over time)
  9. Now, create a vanity slug:
    • This is the custom part of your URL (e.g., yourname or yourcompany).
  10. Upload a headshot or logo for the avatar.
  • Make sure the image is under 1MB.
  1. Click Save.

Adding Custom Links:

Once your card is created, you’ll be taken to the card editing screen.

  1. Click on Custom Links at the top.
  2. To add a new link, click Add Link in the top right corner.
  3. Enter a label for your link.
  4. If you’ve already uploaded links on the Short Links page, you can just copy and paste the URLs here.
  5. Choose a button color using a HEX code, or click the black square to use the color picker.
  6. Click Add.

You’ll see the link added to the right-hand sidebar.

You can reorder the links by dragging and dropping them. The changes take effect immediately—just refresh your browser to see the updated order reflected on the live digital business card.

To edit a custom link, click the pencil icon next to it. You can:

  • Change the label
  • Update the URL
  • Adjust the color

Editing the Card’s Main Info:

To edit the original card information:

  • Click the Edit button next to “Custom Links.”

From here, you can:

  • Update the name
  • Change the description
  • Update the phone number
  • Replace social media links
  • Upload a new headshot or avatar

At the bottom, you can also add a splash image, which works like a Facebook cover photo.

The recommended dimensions for this image are 1,728px wide by 648px tall.

After any changes, hit Save and refresh your browser to see them live.

Sharing Your Business Card:

At the top of the screen, you’ll see the URL for your digital business card.

You can copy and paste this link anywhere—your Instagram bio, social media profiles, or other marketing materials.

Once you create one business card, it’s super easy to duplicate the process for other users or team members—even if they don’t have a Chatavise user account.

I know this course is focused on setup and platform familiarity, not strategy—but just know:

We have clients who leverage these business cards to significantly grow their opt-in subscriber lists.

I’ll touch more on that in the upcoming Keyword and Workflow lessons.

Also, I’m working on a dedicated masterclass that goes deep on building your text message subscriber list—so keep an eye out for that.

And just like that, you now know how to create a Chatavise digital business card.

I’ll see you in the next lesson!

In this lesson we are going to walk through setting up Chatavise’s native digital business card. Digital business cards serve as a great way to get important links in front of contacts in an organized way. Some of our clients have their team members make individual ones, while other clients use company ones. I’m going to share both. Here is my individual business card. And here is my company business card. As you can see, I use my individual one much, much more, but these come in handy when networking, attending expos, vendor shows, and similar events to share calendars, social media links, sign-up forms, and other links that I want people to have easy access to. We can also leverage digital business cards in other ways, including adding them in automated workflows, but we’ll leave that for another lesson.

To make one of these digital business cards, we are going to go to the top of the page and click on Marketing, then click on Business Cards. Here you’ll see I have four already made. At the top right, we’re going to click on Add Business Card to start from scratch. The first field that we’re going to see is the name field. Here, input the company name if it’s a company business card or an individual name if it’s an individual business card. Then write a brief description. This can be like the CEO, CMO, founder, or any job title that you have. You can also choose to write a brief description, kind of like how I had it in my business card, which I’ll show real quick over here. In the next field is the phone number field. Put the phone number that you wish to share with the person interacting with your business card. Chatavise business cards allow them to save your contact info with a click of a button, and this is the phone number that will appear in their contacts when they save your business card. In most situations, it should be your Chatavise phone number that goes in this field. Keep in mind, if you have more than one team member who needs their own phone number with Chatavise, you can buy as many phone numbers as you need within your Chatavise account and then assign those numbers to the different users. This is usually more economical than buying additional phone lines with carriers directly. In the next field, we’re going to copy and paste the company website URL. In the next field, we’re going to skip over the calendar because we’re going to add it in a different section. Next, copy and paste the social media URLs for Facebook, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X. We’re going to be adding more social media links on there as time goes on. The next thing that you must do is create a vanity slug. This is usually roughly the same name that you’re going to have in the first field up here—company name for a company business card, individual name for an individual business card. Then you can add a headshot or a logo for the avatar. Keep in mind, the image must be 1 MB or less. Then click Save.

Now that you created your business card, this screen should appear. Here, we’re going to go to Custom Links at the top, and then to create a custom link, we’re going to go to the top right and click Add Link. Here, we can label that link like so, and then if we uploaded all the important links to the Short Link page, we can head over there, copy and paste the URL like so. And then if we know the hex code to the color that we want, we can add it here, or we can hit the black square and start choosing the colors that we want. Then click the Add button, and that would add the custom link to this sidebar over here. As you can see, I have six custom links there. Here, you can also rearrange the order of the link by dragging it to the position that you want. The effect takes immediate effect. However, to see it on the digital business card, simply refresh your browser, and you will see that my networking calendar is now in third position. To move it back, I simply drag it back up. The effect takes immediate—refresh the browser, and now it’s in the right spot. You can also edit the custom link itself by hitting the Edit button, changing the name, changing the URL, and updating the color if you so choose. Now, to edit the original information that we used to create the business card in the first place, you simply click on the Edit button that is to the left of the custom links. Here, you can update the name, you can update the description, you can update the phone number, you can update the social media URLs, as well as the headshot or logo or the avatar of the business card. But down here at the bottom, you can add a splash image. This is similar to Facebook’s cover images. The dimensions for this is 1,728 pixels wide, 648 pixels in height. Once you do that, or you make any changes, you’ll be able to click Save and then, of course, refresh your browser, and the business card will be updated.

Towards the top over here, you’ll see the URL for the business card. You can copy and paste that URL and put it in your Instagram bio part on there or other social medias if you want to share this business card across other platforms. Once you create one business card, it is easy to create another one for other users and team members, even if they’re not a user. I know this course is not about strategy; it’s more about getting things set up and becoming familiar with the platform. But keep this in mind—we have clients that really, really take advantage of their business cards to grow their opt-in subscriber list for their companies. I’ll touch on this a little bit more in the keyword and workflow lessons. I’m also planning on building a dedicated paid course, which will be a master class around building up your text message subscriber list, so be on the lookout for when that course comes out. And just like that, you now know how to create a Chatavise digital business card. I’ll see you in the next lesson.
