Yes you can!

Try again.

Awesome, we thought it was pretty easy 😉

Take another look 👀

In this lesson, we’re going to walk through using Chatavise’s QR Code Designer, which is a new feature that was recently added.

The QR Code Designer gives you the ability to aesthetically design QR codes for short links saved in Chatavise.

To access the designer:

  • Go to the top of the screen, click on Marketing, and then click on Short Links.
  • Choose a specific short link you want to work with by going to the far right and clicking the pencil icon.
  • Then click Design.

Quick Note:

We are planning to redesign how all links in Chatavise work, so in the future, you’ll also be able to design QR codes for other types of links — including:

  • Business cards
  • Surveys
  • Keywords
  • Lead forms

But for now, there’s a workaround:

If you want to design a QR code for one of those types of links, simply copy the URL of that asset and add it as a short link. Once it’s a short link, you’ll be able to use the QR Code Designer.

Here’s an example of how to do this with a Chatavise business card:

  1. Go to your Business Card section and find the URL.
  2. Copy that link.
  3. Head back to Short Links, click on the New Link button in the top right.
  4. Label this new short link.
  5. Paste the URL.
  6. (Optional) Add a vanity slug.
  7. Click Add Link.

Once the link is created:

  • Go to the far right, click the pencil icon, then click Design.

Now we’re back to the QR Code Designer screen.

On this screen, you can adjust six characteristics of your QR code:

  1. The QR code itself
  2. The backdrop color
  3. The border color
  4. Top Text – You can change both the text and its color
  5. Bottom Text – Also customizable for text and color
  6. Logo/Image – You can upload a logo or image to appear at the center of the QR code

You also have a Size dropdown where you can choose:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large

Before you download the QR code, make sure to choose the image format:

  • JPEG if you just need a standard image
  • PNG if you need a transparent background

With that said, you now know how to design QR codes in Chatavise.

I’ll see you in the next lesson!

In this lesson, we are going to walk through using Chatavise’s QR Code Designer, which is a new feature that was recently added. The QR Code Designer gives the user the ability to aesthetically design QR codes for short links saved in Chatavise.

To access the designer, let’s go to the top of the screen and click on Marketing, then click on Short Links. Here, choose a specific short link that you want to work with by going to the far right and clicking the pencil button. Then click Design.

Now, before going into these design elements, I want to make a quick note: we are planning to redesign how all links in Chatavise work so that you will have the ability to design the QR code for those links as well. The links I’m referring to are Chatavise’s native business cards, surveys, keywords, and lead forms.

For now, there’s a workaround, though. If you wish to create a QR code design for the links I just mentioned, simply take the link and add it as a short link, then click Design. Here’s an example of me doing that for my own Chatavise business card.

By clicking on Business Card, I can see the URL. I’m going to copy that link, go back to Short Links, go to the top right and click on New Link, label this brand new short link, then I’m going to paste the URL. Here, I can choose to add a vanity slug if I like, then click Add Link.

Once that pops up on this screen here, I’ll go to the far right and click the pencil button, then click Design, and we are back where we were before I chose to do that workaround.

So here on this screen, we can adjust six characteristics of the QR code:

  • The QR code itself
  • The backdrop of the QR code
  • The border color
  • The top text (we can change the text itself and the color)
  • The bottom text (we can also change the text itself and the color)
  • We can also add a logo or an image to the center of the QR code

Next, with the Size drop-down field, we can choose Small, Medium, or Large before we download the QR code so that it doesn’t lose its quality.

You can also choose to download a JPEG image or a PNG image. The PNG comes in handy if you need a transparent background.

With that said, you now know how to design QR codes in Chatavise. I’ll see you in the next lesson.
